It seems that an auction of jewelry is a flop if not record a record, maybe for a diamond from the amazing color. Not so. Sales like the one organized by Christie’s in Paris on June 1, where there were lots “normal”, also fine workmanship jewelry, but without that uniqueness that attracts media attention, are interesting to understand the mood of the jewelery market ( therefore also for a hypothetical evaluation of what you have at home) and, at the same time, to observe some beautiful piece of jewelry hitherto stored in some safes. In this case, the auction of Parisian jewelry has reserved the most successful in a necklace, sold for 385,000 €. But the news is not the price, but the fact that it is a simple necklace composed of 37 pearls. Perfect, for charity, but even simple pearls. A solitaire ring with a big 20-carat diamond was sold for 237,900 Euros, while a pair of earrings with diamonds to 5 carats totaled 205.500 Euros. Much appreciated an emerald necklace with gold beads partially glazed: drew 107.100 Euros. Higher than estimated the value attributed to Suzanne Belperron coquillage earrings, which we have already spoken here. They were sold for 85,500 Euros compared to the eve of the estimated 40-60,000.
