A new Mandala line, a classic collection by Pasquale Bruni. It was previewed in Milan, in the boutique on Via Manzoni. The design and impact are evocative: the renewed collection is inspired by the full moon, with a design that harks back to complicated oriental weaves, reminiscent of the embroidery on the walls of ancient mosques or Indian temples. On the other hand, the Mandala is a design that serves to encourage meditation, built starting from a focal point. Pasquale Bruni places the lotus flower at the center, which in the Indian and Buddhist tradition is sacred and linked to the moon, the feminine principle and the night. The jewels are made by choosing the milky white of the mother-of-pearl worked in cabochon, combined with white and brown diamonds. The setting is in rose gold, which contrasts with the light shades of the stones and mother-of-pearl. Pasquale Bruni is keen to point out details that determine the quality, such as «the exceptionally well-made borders and a personal and extremely powerful technique for setting and marking the stones». The top of the collection is the rigid bracelet, which on one side uses a flood of stones and on the other the typical inlay that characterizes Pasquale Bruni’s jewelry, this time displayed in the foreground instead of inside the jewelry. The mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, which means Gem in the Lotus flower is engraved on the side of the bracelet. For those who love the Buddhist spirit, or the simple beauty of a jewel.
