Thierry Andretta is out, Gianluca Brozzetti is in: he is the new CEO of the Buccellati Group. The famous jewelry brand has been under the aegis of Claudio Sposito’s private equity fund Clessidra for some time now, which has called Francesco Trapani, former CEO of Bulgari and subsequently super manager of LVMH, to manage the luxury brands. Trapani’s arrival coincided with the offer to purchase (perhaps together with the Russians of VTB) the Stroili group. And, perhaps, the changing of the guard at the top of the Buccellati brand could also be linked to a judgment by the former number one of Bulgari. Officially, Brozzetti was called by president Andrea Buccellati. The manager was CEO of the Cavalli group until last January, but he left the position unexpectedly. Before that, from 1999 to 2001, he was president and chief executive officer at Louis Vuitton. Andretta, as is usual in these cases, will not abruptly abandon the field. On the contrary, “for personal reasons he will leave his operational roles and take on the role of vice president of the group, continuing to support the management in the brand development programs on international markets.”
