Maria Jennifer Carew, anello Lantern

4 designers for 3D jewelry

Small jewels grow. Born as a somewhat curious experiment, held back by the handicap of the material used (plastic), jewelry created with 3D printers is evolving. And the number of designers who are committed to transforming computer-driven machines into tools capable of creating valuable objects is increasing. Those at .bijouets, a Trentino brand that involved Maria Jennifer Carew, Charlotte Juillard, Daniele Bortotto and Federico Angi, know this. The designers presented their creations at the Parisian Maison&Objet show. Here are the talents who marry technology and design.

Maria Jennifer Carew. The young designer from Friuli has created a collection of rings inspired by the patterns and weaves of Arabian lanterns. For example, with.Lantern or the artistic scribbles of.Bocchio. Each ring will be produced in two versions, one smaller and one larger, and in four sizes. The rings are joined by the .Suite and .Bocchio earrings, both available in two sizes.

Charlotte Juillard. The French designer has created a collection of jewelry for .bijouets (four rings and a bracelet) using geometric shapes as an expression of her creativity: squares, triangles and circles that fit together, overlap and align to become dynamic ornaments.

Daniele Bortotto. Venetian by birth, the designer presents the Anemone necklace and bracelet, of marine inspiration, composed of small suspended circular segments that define a series of “pearls” joined to each other.

Federico Angi. Milanese designer, presents Saturno: a necklace with essential shapes that recalls the rings of the planet.
