Golds of Rome

What jewels did the ancient Romans like? And to the Etruscans? Anyone who wants to satisfy their curiosity can visit the exhibition «From Orvieto to Bolsena. A journey between Etruscans and Romans”, which includes a thousand years of history in the handful of kilometers that separate Orvieto from Bolsena, a tormented territory still rich in vestiges, will come back to life from tomorrow in the large exhibition distributed in seven different locations, starting from the National Museum Etruscan of Villa Giulia. In the Museum of Villa Giulia, in fact, jewels from the Castellani collection are collected, including the pectoral reconstructed by goldsmiths with 130 gold bracts found in a tomb in Bolsena, the beautiful bronzes and silver vases.
