Mumati, the jewels of brotherhood

The jewels of the brotherhood. This is how we could define the creations of Massimiliano and Tiziana Musardo, brother and sister creators and founders of Mumati. The brand was successful and now they have taken root in their region of origin: Puglia (Southern Italy). After opening a boutique in Lecce, they replicated in Gallipoli and, in partnership, in Bari and Tivoli. In short, a success story, marked by a series of awards: since 2016 Mumati jewels have also been present on the Asian and American market.

A tea in Lecce with Mumati

The collection Let’s take a tea in Lecce: embroidered three-dimensional volumes of silver and shaped by hand by Mumati.
Wrong who associates the tea to the ritual that takes place every day at 17 in the UK, or to the chai that is served in small glasses and sipped throughout the East. The Tea, in fact, it is drank in Lecce. The city of Puglia, famous for its baroque architecture, is now the subject of a collection by name rather unusual: Let’s take a tea in Lecce. In proposing the original line of jewelry it is Mumati, small Maison born 15 years ago from the ingenuity of the brothers Massimiliano and Tiziana Musardo. Obvious that the tea as jewelry you do not drink, but you look: necklaces, bracelets and earrings are made with pendants and elements that are inspired by teapots, cups, saucers and little spoons in 925% molded by hand. The shapes, three-dimensional, are made from thin wires which form an embroidery which constitutes the surface of the pendants. Those aren’t simple volumes to accomplish and give an idea of craftsmanship behind. An idea of prices: the silver bracelet costs 1,300 euro to the public. Giulia Netrese

Beware of jellyfish

Let’s face it: when you swim in the sea, a jellyfish is not the favorite rendezvous. But when it comes to jewelry can be different: Mumati, brand born of the impulse brother and sister, Tiziana and Massimiliano Musardo, proposes Meduse (jellyfishes) that do not harm. Indeed, they are small companions to hang around his neck. The Jellyfishes collection is made with the choice of small balls hand-hammered, where cultured pearls or natural stones symbolize the iridescence and transparency of the tentacles of the aquatic animals. The jewelery is 925 silver plated rose gold, yellow or white, and are available in three different sizes (large, medium and small), as pendants, earrings and rings. The tentacles are made of green agate, chalcedony and agates, lemon quartz, opal pink, rodolite, amethyst, carnelian or lapis lazuli. There’s also a version with white pearls, iridescent and mirror the geometric spherical shape of the jewel. Price: from 160 euro. Margherita Donato
