Oceania bracelets and necklaces by Amen

Oceania is a region of the world that includes Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia, as well as large areas of the sea. And Oceania is also the name of the bijoux line signed by Amen, a Tuscan brand of low-cost jewels. The peculiarity of Oceania is to be inspired by the ethnic jewels of the countries of the Pacific Ocean. Bracelets and necklaces are composed of colored circles-beads mounted on rose colored silver. The closure of the bracelets is obtained with a small carabiner. But the characteristic of these bijoux is the use of jade.

Necklace with green jade washers

This is not natural jade, which is a very expensive and highly appreciated stone especially in Asian countries. These jade beads are always originated from that type of stone, but then subjected to a coloring process, which allows a series of shades not present in nature to be added to the stone, such as purple, petrol blue or fuchsia. The stone washers are interspersed with colored resin pearls. Prices under 50 euros for bracelets and 109 euros for necklaces.

Picchiotti’s dots

A dot can simply indicate the end of a sentence. But not only. A dot or point can become an orthographic sign associated with some letters for certain alphabets, it can be used to indicate an abbreviation, or in mathematics as a decimal separator, generally in English-speaking countries, it can be used to indicate a multiplication and for many other functions. In short, the Italian Maison Picchiotti had a great choice for inspiration in the Dots Collection, which includes (at the moment) three jewels.

Anello in oro rosa con sette rubini ovali e diamanti per oltre 4 carati
Rose gold ring with seven oval rubies and diamonds over 4 carats

The points used by the collection are obviously purely aesthetic: small rubies set in a pavé of diamonds, as if they were luxury polka dots. The Dots Collection comes with a delicate silhouette of diamonds, defined by rose gold ornaments, punctuated by rubies that have an oval shape. The bracelet is integrated with the Xpandable technology, the Picchiotti patented system that allows the bracelets to expand or contract to make wearing the jewel easier and more pleasant, without the need to use cumbersome clasps for the bangles.

In Milan in Montenapo with Alviero Martini 1st Class

The journey with Alviero Martini 1A Classe continues. The fashion and accessories brand, which became famous for its bags decorated with maps, has also launched jewelery lines inspired by famous places around the world. This time the place chosen is the same city that saw the birth of the brand. The jewelry line is called Montenapo, short for via Monte Napoleone, the luxury shopping street in the city. The jewels are made of 925 silver and the dominant motif of the jewels is the 1A Classe lettering, with single letters that become a decorative element with a decisive and rigorous style.

New colors with Geocube

New colors for a now classic design. The German Coeur de Lion presents new colors of its Geocube collection, which is a line of handmade jewelry inspired by the geometric shape of the cube. Rigid and semi-rigid necklaces and bracelets, or earrings, are made of steel, also with a golden finish, with natural and synthetic stones, freshwater pearls and crystals. In the images of the new models, the intense blue in tune with summer stands out, synthetic tiger’s eye, rhinestone washers and colored glass. The set consists of a rigid necklace with adjustable closure (179 euros), a rigid bracelet with adjustable closure (65) and pendant earrings that recall the Art Deco style (89).

Another Geocube set is made up of a semi-rigid necklace, semi-rigid bracelet and pendant earrings, with synthetic tiger’s eye, red aventurine, blue aventurine, rose quartz and rock crystal. The semi-rigid necklace in gilded steel (189) features a sliding closure system that allows you to adjust its length (up to 74 centimeters). Same system also for the golden steel bracelet (89). Kathryn Elyse’s second life

Her favorite phrase is from Claude Monet: “Color is my obsession, joy and torment for the whole day”, said the king of the Impressionists. A statement that is shared by Kathryn Elyse, a jewelry designer based in Seattle, United States. She describes herself as attracted to colored gems, their cut or their unique imperfections. The designer uses 14 or 18 carat recycled gold, combining colored stones with small diamonds. Her collections are a bridge between natural beauty and modernism. Her jewels, as well as in the Seattle boutique, are also sold by large online marketplaces, such as Moda Operandi.

And to say that after graduation you started working in the personal banking sector, and during this time you also faced the shock of an armed robbery. An experience that marked her choices: it is better to cultivate one’s passion, jewels. The designer then restarted her second life and enrolled at the prestigious Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. And after learning the secrets of the trade she started her own business. And with good success.

Faidee’s dream rubies

x

Roop Chand Lunia. It may be that this name means nothing to you. Yet he is linked to the world of jewelry: Roop Chand Lunia, born in 1895, he is considered the king of the Burmese ruby. It was he, who passed away in 1960, who founded Faidee, a high-end jewelery house specializing in rubies. Roop Chand Lunia was a gemstone trader, known for his collection of rare and exceptional stones. But he especially fell in love with the red Burmese gem, one of the rarest and most valuable. For this reason, the company founded by Roop Chand Lunia is called Faidee, a name that means good luster, shining, in the Thai language. Faidee specializes in one stone, the ruby: it offers the most colorful, impressive and, of course, expensive gems.

The scarcity and rarity of Burmese Pigeon’s Blood rubies have made them one of the most sought-after gemstones in the world. Now in its fourth generation, Faidee therefore offers great jewels with splendid rubies and diamonds. The descendant of the founder, Rajeev, for much of his youth learned to cut and classify diamonds to continue his great-grandfather’s legendary legacy. Today Rajeev guides the skilled craftsmen of Faidee in the processing of the rough stones up to the final polishing.

5 rules to match watch and bracelet

How to combine watch and bracelet? Here are five tips for wearing a perfect combination ♦ ︎

A watch is not always a clock. In fact, for women it is above all a jewel that, among other things, also marks the hours. But the first aspect that matters is that it must be beautiful, it matches the dress, is right for the occasion. It does not matter that the watch offers complicated combinations of dates and phases of the moon, that it can plunge into the deepest waters or be able to function as an Olympic time trial. Instead, the timepiece must be of excellent brand, have a pleasant shape and, possibly, arouse the envy of her friends.
Unfortunately, not all women pay attention to another detail: the combination of watch and jewelry, especially bracelets. That’s right: watch and bracelet are not twin brothers, they are children of different mothers. And they do not always match well. Here, then, some tips to correctly match watch and bracelets. With a warning: sometimes the rules can also be successfully transgressed.

1 Leave a wrist free

If you wear a watch on your left wrist, do not wear anything on your right arm. Focus your attention on just one point, instead of dispersing it a little here and there. The only concession: wear a chain on the other wrist, provided it is very, very thin.

Quale dei due polsi sarà più interessante?
Which of the two wrists will be more interesting?

2 Gold or silver?

No problem: the time when you couldn’t match a gold jewel with a silver one is over. It is no coincidence that there are jewels that are made of gold of different colors. So, it’s perfectly fine to wear a gold finished watch with silver bracelets. As long as they are high quality. A precious watch, in short, clashes with any silver bracelet. Instead, choose designer bracelets or, alternatively, thick and elegant chain links.

3 High and low

It used to be that consistency was in fashion: you couldn’t wear a Cartier watch with a cheap bracelet. Today this is no longer the case: even a Rolex can be combined with colored beaded bracelets. But, mind you, it doesn’t mean wearing bad quality bracelets. Even if made with non-precious materials, the bracelets to match the watch must always have something interesting: the colours, a particular meaning, a memory. The important thing is that the mix is fun and interesting.

4 Who is worth more?

Is an expensive bracelet and a cheap watch better, or the other way around? The second hypothesis. The king is the watch, the main role on the stage of your wrist should be reserved for it. Anyone wearing a Rolex or Patek Philippe can easily wear a colored cloth bracelet. A Cartier bracelet, on the other hand, doesn’t go easily with a cheap timepiece. A separate discussion must be made for high-end smart watches, which are trendy and can go well together with expensive jewels. Provided that the smart watch is of the premium type.

5 Change the menu

Even your favorite dish, if you eat it every day, ends up no longer pleasing. It’s the same for jewels: if you have guessed a nice combination of watch and bracelets, it’s not a good reason to repeat it every day. Try to vary, even if the result will not always be perfect.

A bracelet for the Napoli championship

In Italy, football is a religion. But in Naples it is still something more. And the third conquest of the football championship was lived in the city with incredible passion. The world of jewelery could not miss the appointment. To celebrate the event is the goldsmith artist, but also former footballer Gianfranco Quartaroli, who underlines that he had the good fortune to play against Diego Armando Maradona, still revered in Naples, he designed and created the bracelet with the lucky charms hanging from the third scudetto of the 2022-2023 season. Even the lucky charm symbols, or chasing bad luck, are a Neapolitan tradition and the bracelet perfectly sums up the local tradition and the sporting event.

I ciondoli del bracciale Napoletanissimo
I ciondoli del bracciale Napoletanissimo

The Napoletanissimo bracelet by Gianfranco Quartaroli is made up of the most classic symbols of Neapolitan charms: pizza, curniciello (the lucky horn), Vesuvius, the blue enamelled shirt of the football team with number 10 (that of Maradona), puffin, horns, donkey, San Gennaro, the protective mask of Osimhen (the team’s center forward) with number 9, the cuccumella (the coffee maker), the 77 of Kvara (Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Georgian player of Naples), the number 3 of the third championship. Even if the bracelet could be dedicated to a fan of the team, the Napoletanissimo bracelet is dedicated to all women who love the city of Naples, Campania, and Neapolitans in general. The bracelet is available in three versions in gold, silver and steel.

Mattioli’s Gocce

The drops may have sprung from tears, or from rain, wine, blood. They can also be drops of happiness, of wax… Drops go through life in so many ways. One of these is the one identified by the Turinese Maison Mattioli for its new Gocce (drops) collection, which we present in preview. In this case the drops are empty and have the shape of small rings made with a very intensely colored 18-karat pink gold, already used for other Mattioli collections. The Gocce collection takes up the eternal shape of the chain, obviously with a personal interpretation. The dripping results in rings of different sizes combined with each other.

Even the sequence of the rings follows an apparent irregularity. A perfectly round ring, for example, is combined with another oval, an oblong, an asymmetrical one and so on. The closure of bracelets and necklaces is a snap hook. The pendant earrings, always in the shape of a chain, are available in three or five elements.

Colors and steel with Madera and Vibes by S’Agapò

Colored bracelets and necklaces also for men. It is no longer a taboo, especially for young people. And this is what S’Agapò, the light brand of the Bros Manifatture group, offers. There are two lines of bracelets, which in reality can very well also be worn by women. One is dedicated to Madeira, an archipelago of islands of volcanic origin located in the Atlantic Ocean, 545 kilometers north-west of the African coast and which belongs to Portugal. Perhaps the inspiration of the tropical environment suggested steel bracelets and necklaces with brightly colored glass beads: red, yellow, electric blue.

The second line of jewelery was called Vibes, a name that evokes feelings and sensations linked not only to sentimental affairs, but includes bracelets and necklaces with a greater prevalence of steel elements alongside colored beads and marine-inspired pendants, such as anchors and five-pointed star. Prices are always contained in a few tens of euros.

Ceramics and high jewelery with Picchiotti

For some time now, the world of fine jewelery has rediscovered the use of ceramic material to create bracelets, rings or necklaces. Picchiotti too has decided to explore the creative possibilities offered by ceramics with a series of jewels that creatively interpret some stylistic signs of art deco. As is the tradition of the Piedmontese Maison, these are always high quality pieces, gathered under the name of Gem Ceramics. They are unique pieces that recall all the characteristics that make Picchiotti’s jewels recognizable, but with a touch of innovation: large gems and elegant opaque stones, emerald-cut diamonds, sophisticated precious stones and a clear processing of black or white ceramic.

The use of special ceramic for jewellery, which adds strength to the aesthetic aspect, is extended to a series of bracelets, including those of the Xpandable collection. These jewels, like the others in the collection, also combine the design with the characteristic of elasticity, which allows the jewel to adapt to the size of the body wearing them, without the need for a closure. The bracelets are enriched with diamonds, rubies from Mozambique or sapphires from Sri Lanka.

One pair of earrings features two diamonds of 2.5 carats each. Other high jewelery bracelets are defined by the geometric patterns of the ceramic next to pink or yellow sapphires, including one weighing almost 8 carats. In addition to ceramics, gold and diamonds, the series of art deco bracelets also includes the use of coral and turquoise.

Giovanni Raspini’s fireworks

Blue is the color of summer and in the summer it is easy to come across fireworks displays. The Fireworks collection by Giovanni Raspini is made of burnished silver with completely hand-modeled elements. The jewels are tuned to summer, inspired by light and color thanks to the union of burnished silver with mystic quartz with a rainbow effect. It is a particular processing of transparent quartz, to which a thin film is applied which adds colored effects, even with rainbow shades. It is precisely this aspect that led him to choose the name Fireworks.

Like a firework, the brightness of silver combines with the iridescent colors of mystic quartz. The collection includes a large necklace, a pendant, two rings, two bracelets, and two earrings. The jewels are made with thin silver stems at the top of which a stone is set, with a style that deliberately recalls the explosion of fireworks in the sky.

The new Shamballa man bracelets

Śambhala is a word which, according to the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, indicates a mythical and secret kingdom hidden in the northern part of India or the Himalayan region. But it is also the name of a Danish jewelery brand, which has chosen the Star of Shamballa as its symbol, a graphic version of a double Dorje, an ancient Buddhist symbol and artifact that inspired the founders, the two brothers Mads and Mikkel Kornerup.

Mikkel Kornerup
Mikkel Kornerup

It may be added that the Dorje symbol is associated with myths and legendary tales and is considered the ultimate tool for capturing the ultimate source of energy: lightning. Which, according to the two Danish jewelers, is the Buddhist version of Thor’s hammer from Norse mythology. A burst of natural electricity, on the other hand, is also in line with the sustainability trend, although it’s not clear how random this is.

Shamballa’s specialty is men’s bracelets. Those of the spring-summer 2023 collection focus on shades of blue, with vivid aquamarines and turquoises, 18-karat gold and diamonds. But also in warmer nuances, such as the bracelets with diamonds, aquamarines, carnelians, guava quartz and 18-karat rose gold, with elements joined by a colored nylon thread. But in the brand’s catalog there is no shortage of more classic women’s jewels.

How to make resin jewelry

There are those who wear jewels. And there are those who want to create them with their own hands, maybe resin jewelry. Yeah, but how to make resin jewelry? What is needed? What are the basic steps. Let’s see how you can create a resin jewel in the size and with the design that you have decided. This is exactly why resin jewelry has become increasingly popular in recent years. It’s easy to see why: it’s a material that’s versatile, inexpensive, and can be used to create a wide variety of designs. If the idea of creating your own resin jewelry appeals to you, here is a detailed guide to get you started.

This epoxy resin kit is sold on Amazon for 78.99 euros

Step 1: Prepare your workspace
Resin is a messy material, so you’ll want to work in a well-ventilated area that’s protected from dust and debris. Cover your workspace with plastic or newspaper and put on protective gear, including gloves, a mask, and goggles.

Step 2: Mix the resin
Follow the instructions on the epoxy resin packaging to mix the resin and hardener in the correct proportions. Pour the resin into a mixing cup and stir for 2-3 minutes, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the cup to ensure the mixture is thoroughly combined.

Step 3: Add color and glitter (optional)
If you want to add color to your resin, you can use pigment or dye. Be careful not to add too much, as this can affect the curing process. You can also add glitter or other small decorative items at this stage.

Step 4: Pour the resin
Pour the resin mixture into your silicone mold. If you’re making a pendant or earrings, you can use a mold with a hole at the top for the jump ring. If you’re making a bracelet or ring, you can use a mold with a flat surface.

Handmade ring sold on Etsy with aluminum crystals, copper wire, epoxy resin, Tibetan quartz, golden rutilated quartz, amethyst, garnet and rose quartz

Step 5: Remove bubbles
Use a heat gun or blowtorch to remove any bubbles that may have formed in the resin. Be careful not to hold the heat source too close to the resin or for too long, as this can cause the resin to overheat and cure too quickly.

Step 6: Cure the resin
Follow the instructions on the resin packaging to determine the cure time. This can range from a few hours to overnight. Once the resin has cured, remove it from the mold and trim any excess using sandpaper.

Step 7: Add jewelry findings
Attach jump rings or earring hooks to the resin pieces using pliers. If you’re making a bracelet or ring, you can use a strong adhesive to attach the resin piece to a metal base.

Step 8: Enjoy your new jewelry!
Your resin jewelry is now complete and ready to wear or gift to a friend. Store your pieces in a cool, dry place to prevent them from becoming cloudy or discolored over time.

Breil softly with B Whisper

You don’t need to shout your desires, fears, hopes to the world. A whisper is enough, a right word pronounced in a barely audible tone. Who knows if Breil‘s B Whisper collection was inspired by the words of love whispered as a couple. Breil’s jewels are, as always, in steel, with a modern design designed in 3D that focuses on concave and convex surfaces, solids and voids, glossy and opaque effects. This design is applied to the groumette chain with large, flowing and sinuous links for necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

The necklace, which can be worn as a choker or as a choker, is characterized by the links of the chain, which support the central Be Whisper element, and is closed by a carabiner with the brand tag. The bracelet culminates in two Be Whisper elements, asymmetrical and with an enveloping design, which contrast the glossy effect with the satin one. There is also a soft bracelet with the new large link chain that encircles the wrist. The earrings are offered in the hoop version in two sizes. They can be worn in different ways, to mix and match with each other.

Space to Novecentonovantanove

It’s name is Novecentonovantanove: the number is the brand of a Florence company specialized in tubogas bracelets and necklaces (but not only).

In 1999, in fact, a new jewelery brand was born in Florence: after long and heated debate the agreement was found on a name that recalls the year of birth, Novecentonovantanove (999). A number that is easy to remember, just as it is simple remember the style chosen for the products of the company that now belongs to Enzo Lazzerini: the classic tubogas. That is, those gold jewels made up of pairs of interlocking strips, with a shape reminiscent of gas hoses.

Bracciale tubogas in oro rosa con diamantj

The peculiarity of this process consists in the fact that necklaces or bracelets do not require welding. It was a popular type of jewel during the late 1930s and 1940s. The idea also reflects the need to make up for the scarcity of gold during the Second World War. The 999 tubogas bracelets or necklaces do not differ from the classic model: made of gold, often combined on the same piece in the different shades of yellow, white and pink. In some cases the jewels are embellished with diamonds, as in the collections with the greatest impact. Monica Battistoni

The precious music of Verdi Gioielli

Verdi Gioielli has already celebrated half a century, but it don’t show it. Rings, necklaces and bracelets have not aged, even if the company has a respectable age. The high-end brand, which focuses heavily on colored precious stones, was born in 1971 in Valenza, Piedmont, an area where high quality jewelery lives. The founder, Giuseppe Verdi, namesake of the great opera composer, has gained fame also thanks to his bracelets with an unmistakable design. now the company is led by his son, Marco Verdi, in the name of continuity, but without falling into repetition.

Verdi still focuses on the quality of the precious stones, combined with craftsmanship, in the collections which, leaving aside the similarities with nineteenth-century music, instead seek harmonies with what is contemporary, as in the Rock and Roll collection. But there are also Blues, Pop, Funky collections. Turquoise and coral, combined with gold and precious and semi-precious stones are the elements that make up the score of the collection, in a style that also recalls art deco.
