A rising star in the sky of jewelry design: the Frenchman Emmanuel Tarpin ♦ ︎
He is French, but with a parenthesis at the Head, the prestigious school of art and design in Geneva, and he is considered one of the young lions of design. Emmanuel Tarpin is only 25 years old, but a pair of earrings designed by him have already been sold by Christie’s, last year, for $ 25,000. The first prestigious stage was, however, that of GemGenève, where he was chosen in the area dedicated to emerging designers. His production is still limited, of course, but the pieces he has already presented are of great impact. After from the aluminum earrings and diamonds in the shape of geranium leaves, sold by the auction house, in GemGenève Emmanuel Tarpin presented earrings of great impact in the form of a blue orchid, also in aluminum, with diamonds and an aquamarine in the center. Another pair of earrings has, instead, almost the spiral shape and are made of gold, garnets and sapphires. Giulia Netrese
