Milan hosted Alcozer & J, a bijoux brand by Giampiero Alcozer, a designer based in Florence. In the streets that host the Fuorisalone event in spring, the maison created in 1993 exhibited its novelties, in addition to its already established production. Alcozer’s jewelery does not go unnoticed. They are large, showy and colourful, with golden metal and hard stones with a strong impact. The design has a certain theatrical taste, the opposite of minimal. They are inspired by the Renaissance, by the sumptuous courts, but also by the costume jewelery of the late nineteenth century. Or to the America of the thirties and forties. In a word, they are eclectic. If you want to get noticed, this is the one for you.
Three collections designed, created and produced by hand in the Florence headquarters and artisan workshop: Classic (antique-style gold metal jewellery), Unic (unique, authorial pieces with a more ethnic spirit, in metal and with semi-precious stones) , Dorella (doll pendant). All the bijoux are made of nickel-free brass, gilded using galvanic baths and gilded in several steps, to be finally oven enamelled and decorated using semi-precious stones: garnets, corals, topaz, turquoises, amethysts, as well as pearls and Swarovski crystals. Every year around 1,500 models are created which are added to the historical archive of Alcozer&J which boasts more than 35 thousand different jewellery. The Alcozer & J collections are distributed in the single-brand store in Florence, Rome, in the recently opened one in St. Petersburg and in multi-brand stores around the world. The inspiration for the autumn/winter 2013/14 collection takes up the classic themes of the maison: the frog prince, crowns, lucky owls, animals and flowers. Among the new features, also a floral motif (calla lilies) and shoes.
