When the Sky is black, it means that technology has married jewelry. Mattia Cielo’s hi-tech bracelet is called Black. It is truly a novelty, starting from the material used: carbon. On the other hand, the designer is not new to experiments that combine technology with the aesthetics of jewelry: with the Armadillo collection, the maison recalls, the aerospace industry has allowed surprising colors to gold. With Ghiaccio and Rugiada he used titanium engineering. Now it’s the turn of the Vulcano collection, of which Black is a part. Carbon is already used for the most diverse applications: from watchmaking to cars, to spaceships. The jewels of the Vulcano collection are made “in structural carbon”. The process involves the creation of sheets of woven fiber, inserted into molds soaked in resins to stabilize the shape. The result are objects that resemble a sculpture. For example, the Black bracelet, or chains that become necklaces or bracelets, in a game of lengths and shiny or matte effects. Among other things, they are very resistant jewels and will not make you look bad on your next trip to Mars.
