From the airplanes to the Principality of Monaco: the pearls inspired by the swing and jazz music of Misaki ♦︎
Those of Misaki are jewels to be taken on the fly. In a literal sense: the jeweler has started selling his collections on airplanes. Strange, no? But now, beyond its base in Monte Carlo, in the Principality of Monaco, the brand has a series of boutiques around the world, owned or licensed. Misaki means “beautiful flower” in French, and was born from a love story between a French photographer and a Japanese designer.
The beautiful flower was, instead, a necklace of Akoya pearls that sealed the union. Not only that: it also helped to get passiont to this fruit of the sea, which has become the main element of Misaki. The pearls of the Maison, however, are not only for high-end jewelry, but also for bijoux at an absolutely affordable price. In short, since 1987, after the years between one airport and another, the jewels have crossed the line of success. Since 2003, the base on the Côte d’Azur has become the launch pad for an expansion culminating at the beginning of June 2016, with the victory at the Couture Awards in Las Vegas. the collections are inspired, in particular, by jazz and dance. Each collection recalls, in fact, a famous song, from Dean Martin to Fitzgerald, an idea that goes well with the glamor of Monaco. And of course, Misaki continues to fly on the jets of 70 airlines.
