Louis Vuitton and jewels. Now the most copied trunk in the world abandons clothing and beauty cases to house precious watches and jewels. The wedding takes place in the right city: Basel, which hosts the great fair dedicated to chronographs and jewelry. And the celebration is immortalized by a film, which you can watch on this page. The new destination transforms, in part, the object: the structural components of the trunk, are transformed into the aesthetic vocabulary of the Emprise collection. The metal reinforcement elements, the locks, the nails, says the company, “have been transformed into minute decorative themes repeated in a meticulous way, delineating perspectives, showing a distinct femininity and giving shape to a strong signature for a collection deeply rooted in the history of Louis Vuitton”.
Inside the trunk are the Emprise watch and the jewels of the collection, starting from the pendant necklace seen in the film. The images are directed by director Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano and the Surface to Air studio: the atmosphere is fantastic, with a play of mirrors and continuous references, an image bouncing to infinity. The pendants are in a sort of cage and set with amethyst, citrine, tourmaline, morganite, tied to long chains. The Emprise line also includes rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants in diamonds, sets in yellow and white gold. Prices: the gold watch studded with yellow diamonds costs around 19,900 dollars, the one in steel and white diamond starts at 8,750 dollars. The jewelry collection ranges from a thousand dollars for a white gold ring to 150 thousand for a white gold necklace with a 28.08-carat diamond pendant.
