Prospero is the unusual name for the new jewelry collection of Sabine G. The explanation is in the picture of Slim Aarons in 1960, that portrays an italian Princess, Colonna di Stigliano, with his son Prospero. In the background, the majestic Great Hall of the Gallery Colona, in Rome: a triumph of marble, mirrors and stucco. From this was born the inspiration for a collection of American designer, celebrating the Roman Baroque and the eternal city. The third collection by the anglo-lebanese Sabine Ghanem, born in Beirut, grew up in Egypt, lived in New York (where he studied gemology at the GIA) and London, where he currently lives. In 2012 Slim (who is also the wife of the tycoon Joseph Getty) began designing jewelry with its namesake brand and in just three years has won many fans, including Emma Watson, Leandra Medine and Catherine Deneuve. Colored and lit by moonstones opalescent, pink sapphires, tsavorites green as lime and garnet red colors, the collection Prospero takes architectural elements like the three stone ring Navona: a referring to the three fountains in the famous square in Rome, or at the decoration of palms leaves, typical of Baroque.
