New collection by Pianegonda, the Vicenza brand that just a year ago passed under the Morellato group banner. For the summer Pianegonda presents the Brightness collection which, in fact, is bright. The focus is on color, with hydrothermal quartz that comes in eight different colors. Hydrothermal quartz is a system invented over a century ago. Materials called oxides, water and compounds are introduced into an airtight container. The result is quartz for both industrial and gem use. In the case of the Brightness collection, the stones are mounted on rhodium-plated silver or with a rosé vermeil finish. Another clarification: vermeil is a variety of gold-plated silver. The sterling silver base is covered with a gold plating of at least 10 carats and a thickness of at least 1.5 microns. Prices: 145 (square stones), 165 and 175 for the rosé vermeil rings.
