The Venezianico watch brand, born with inspiration from the lagoon city, has added a new piece to the GMT collection. It is a watch with a 42 mm 316L surgical steel case with a strong technical propensity. Nereide GMT Ceratung is the first model in the world to use a hybrid bezel, made of 50% ceramic and the rest in tungsten. These are two super resistant materials, practically not scratchable. In short, watches destined to last over time and which can maintain their aesthetic characteristics unaltered.
The watches use the new V3290 calibre, the result of a collaboration launched in 2022 with the Swiss Soprod, which produces it in its own factories based on the C125 calibre. The V3290 boasts the GMT mechanical complication and first-rate accuracy, with a maximum daily deviation of just -4/+6 seconds. The result is achieved thanks to the accurate calibration at the time of the final assembly of the watch, carried out directly in Italy in the Venezianico laboratory.
Particular attention has also been paid to the design. Fully visible through the scratch resistant sapphire crystal case back. The V3290 is distinguished by the elaborate skeletonization of the new rhodium-plated rotor, which is contrasted by the sandblasted finish. Nereide GMT Ceratung is able to monitor three time zones simultaneously, thanks to the combination of two 24-hour scales: one mobile, represented by white indexes placed on a 120 click rotating bezel; a fixed one, with white daytime hours and blue nighttime indicators, positioned on the rehaut. The other details repeat the same color scheme, such as the model name embossed on the dial, the stem of the GMT hand and the triangle on the bezel at 12 o’clock.
Venezianico introduces ingot indexes for the first time in the GMT collection, again treated with BGW9 luminescent pigment to ensure optimal legibility even in low light conditions. The bracelet is in steel with a double brushed and polished finish.
