Italian jewels move from north to south. Filed VicenzaOro is the turn of Tarì with Mondo Prezioso (12-15 October). The tarì (with the small t) was the ancient currency of Amalfi. Now the Tarì (with a capital T) is linked precisely to that medieval tradition to mark its identity. In fact, in the center where the event takes place, the jewels are designed and produced, especially with companies that have a long tradition behind them. The Goldsmith Center of Marcianise is, after all, the heir of the medieval districts where the artisan guilds worked. But now much of the work is destined to cross the borders of Italy.
In the edition of Mondo Prezioso Winter, around 500 companies are expected, including 85 guests.
And at the b2b Hidden Treasures meeting, there are also 55 buyers from 19 countries. The fair, which has already turned 20, turns the spotlight on the work of the Marcianise production center. “Mondo Prezioso is the moment in which we compare the work of the companies that work at the Goldsmith Center”, says Floriana Marino, polo marketing manager. “But it is also an opportunity for the economy of the South: for some time, for example, jewelry and watchmaking have come back to fascinate many young people, who find in Marcianise an opportunity for work and develop their creativity”.
Mondo Prezioso will host four days of events, meetings and shop windows, alternating news and classics with the formula of Tarì: tight rhythms, welcoming space, atmosphere and hospitality at the top, with hundreds of goldsmith customers of the event.
Noteworthy are also the assistance services that the members of the Tarì offer, unique in Italy, to the customers present: embedding, repairs and personalized assistance, on Saturdays and Sundays allow retailers to carry out many indispensable activities often not available elsewhere.
Next to the commercial activity are scheduled appointments to capture ideas and fashion trends also in jewelry, with thematic focus and events focused on two aspects: the jewels of Oscar and Street Style.
