This ring is worth 430 thousand euros

Sotheby’s jewelry auction in New York ended with a success. Jewels worth 10 and a half million dollars were sold, the third consecutive record for a jewel sale in February at Sotheby’s. “We are very pleased to have achieved another significant result,” commented Gary Schuler, head of Sotheby’s jewelry department in New York. “The auction demonstrated the market’s appetite for exceptional diamonds, starting with two pieces signed by Tiffany: a 6.46-carat diamond ring more than tripled its estimate to $560,500 (430,000 euros), while a ring with a 0.51-carat Fancy Vivid purplish-pink diamond quadrupled its estimate to reach $338,500.” A diamond brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels was sold for 332,500, $100,000 above its starting estimate.
