We often propose the marriage between jewelry and technology. Here is a new example: the Ringly ring. It connects to iPhone and Android smartphones, and is able to signal calls, messages, emails or notifications, thanks to a vibration. The advantage: if the phone is drowned in the bag and you don’t hear the ringtone, the ring warns you that a call or message is coming. An application will allow you to customize the color of a small LED on one of the two sides. Not only that: different types of vibrations connected to different notifications will be programmable, so you can understand from the ring who is calling or has sent a message. The battery integrated into the ring can last up to three days on a single charge. But it is not just a technological object: Ringly is in 18-karat gold and uses stones such as black onyx, emerald, pink sapphire and rainbow moonstone. According to Christina Mercando, founder of Ringly, the idea of the company is to offer a technological jewel that is both elegant and useful, and that the women who wear it will like. Ringly can already be pre-ordered on the official website. Price (online): $145.
