It ranges between the catwalks and the tables on which she designs bijoux. Always quite original: Stella Jean, designer of Italian-Haitian origins, lands at Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Milan as a guest of the historic Milanese boutique Biffi (Corso Genova) together with the young talents involved in the Ethical Fashion Initiative project of ITC, PortenierRoth, Kiki Clothing and Christie Brown. Stella will present the SS 2014 collection at Armani/Teatro during the Milan fashion week. The Ethical Fashion Initiative will instead participate in the project with a piece of jewelery created specifically for the event and will create for the occasion an installation in the boutique window entitled The Gentlemen’s Club. The idea is an ironic re-enactment of the London gentlemen’s clubs of the Victorian era , through a reversal and reversal of aesthetic and symbolic canons, with striped fabrics handcrafted on a loom by the women of Burkina Faso and wax fabrics dear to the designer. The creative projects of Stella Jean, PortenierRoth, Kiki Clothing and Christie Brown will be displayed in the windows of Biffi Boutique during Milan Fashion Week, from 17 to 23 September.
