After its launch at the beginning of the year, the Dutch startup Ucki, which allows you to create jewelry designed by children using 3D printers, has found a new commercial channel: the French post office. They announced the opening this week of a new service, called 3D Jewel Kid, to transform children’s drawings into bracelets, necklaces, pendants and gold and silver rings. All in the space of a few days. For six months, the service will be available in three post offices in Paris, where since November they have already been experimenting with 3D technology for other uses. A certainly original way to offer additional services and certainly not to diversify the business. The cost has not yet been disclosed, although an idea can be had from the website of the Dutch company where the figures start from 199 up to 1,300 euros. Too much to make it the ideal gift for parents? Maybe not, since you can also create a small pin, i.e. a brooch, and therefore cost even less. Who knows, it might become a trend.
