Etho Maria is an international jewelry brand born in Athens, Greece, where it still has an office. But today it also has bases in Milan and Florida. The brand was born in 2008, but originated in 1992 as Etho Lithos, a word that means stone in Greek: the Maison was founded by the entrepreneur, businessman, designer and jewelry connoisseur Takis Etho in 1992. The owner of the brand felt that the new brand better communicated the company’s dedication to quality, originality and beauty
The brand is also famous for its line of fine jewelry: some of the Maison’s most elaborate pieces require over a thousand hours of devoted manual labor. Over the years Etho Maria has built a reputation not only for quality, but also for original design, with imaginative and innovative and modern designs, with its own style. Each piece is handmade in-house. The company has won many industry awards for its creations, including a first-place finish in the Best in Diamonds Above $40,000 category at the 2023 Couture Design Awards in Las Vegas. It is a style of high jewelery (but there are also collections of fine jewellery) which loves to combine tradition and luxury with innovative touches, such as the use of red ceramic combined with diamonds.
