Fresh, bright, cheerful: the high jewelry collection for spring summer 2014 by Dolce & Gabbana is a triumph of bright colors in the brilliant shades of sapphires, amethysts, citrine quartz, peridot and aquamarine. And if the design always presents baroque signs, with lots and lots of 18-karat gold, the unmistakable trait of the two Sicilian designers, the large volumes are lightened by floral motifs, for example the icons of the past seasons such as the Byzantine crosses are in filigree modeled with pistils and petals that give a light and extremely wearable appearance. Four different lines: Primavera, Heritage, Pietre and Anelli, the latter mounted as solitaires have a dual personality: they look like engagement rings and this is certainly the intent but they could easily be worn on any occasion. A revisited classic that would tone down even the most traditional look: this is the spirit of the collection.
