The Palmiero’s peacocks, goldsmith virtuosity for jewels that are artwork.
“The artist of the contemporary jewelry,” as you define Carlo Palmiero, has created a new piece that is worth describing. It is a pendant shaped like a donut. The surface of the gem designed the Maison of Valenza is an intricate and voluptuous succession of lines, reminiscent in some ways certain oriental decoration, with curves and scrolls. These strips of metal, gold, are covered by a pavé with precious stones: diamonds of different colors, white and yellow, and sapphires blue, light blue and pink. A work from virtuoso goldsmith technique referred Palmiero can rightly strut. And not a manner of speaking: the reserve donut another surprise, because this little gold weave and stones represents the figure of a peacock. “This brooch / pendant peacock symbolizes the thoughtful spirit that is in all of us,” said Palmiero on Facebook. Next to the pendent in the shape of a donut, there is a brooch in which the peacock spreads its wings, and in the same series is also a ring, a small miracle of gold. The jewels are added to the pieces that are already part of the Animals collection, in which a line is dedicated to the peacock. Lavinia Andorno
