And so it comes the fresh necklace: it’s developed by Nano-Ice, a start-up of Somerville, near Boston. The bijou is called Nano Ice Cool Collar and is unisex. According to the inventors, «the combination of the circular shape and the technology of the materials with which it is made and that are within each sphere that composes the necklace», allows bijou to stay fresh for up to three hours. Within each sphere, rather large, there is a liquid capable of maintaining the temperature (it is a non-toxic organic fluid, but not better specified).
Commissioning inside freezer necklace, the liquid of the beads freezes and than melts very slowly, so as to convey the feeling of freshness to the body. “The neck is an ideal place for thermal regulation, because it cools the blood in the arteries before it reaches the brain,” explain the inventors.
