This ring will allow you to go shopping. That is, it will replace the credit card or debit card. In practice, it uses a technology called NFC: just touch a device with the ring at the checkout of an enabled shop to purchase a coffee or a scooter. The expense will then be charged to your account. The technology used is quite simple: the ring is composed of a titanium band with two NFC chips inlaid. One is placed on top of the ring and contains public information (such as first and last name). The other, smaller chip is inside and contains private information, such as the account number to which the expense will be charged. The ring is designed to allow the user to use different types of gestures and therefore share the two types of content. The ring costs $38 and the creator, McLear, allows you to customize the design. It is currently not compatible with iOS (iPhone), but with the Android operating system.
