Misis and the story of Valentine’s Day

Six Misis proposals for Valentine’s Day. These are affordable jewels, chosen from three different collections. The idea is to offer objects that are different in type and design, but always in tune with the day dedicated to lovers.

By the way, perhaps not everyone knows the story of Valentine’s Day. According to legend, it all began in 273 AD, when the Bishop of Terni, who was called Valentine, heard two young lovers arguing at the window. The bishop was sentimental, so he decided to cut a rose and give it to the two young people, to bring them back into harmony. So he gave the flower, begging them to reconcile. It was February 14, 273 and, in truth, it seems a bit early for there to be roses already in bloom. In any case, the anecdote spread through the districts and lovers began to go to Terni to be blessed by Bishop Valentine. The date has remained etched and over the course of a few centuries the day has been dedicated to love. But with some differences: in Germany lovers write cards and buy gifts, in Holland they give licorice hearts, while in England and the USA there are those who send anonymous love notes. In Japan, girls give a box of chocolates to boys, colleagues or friends, who reciprocate with White Day on March 14, exactly one month later, giving the girls a white chocolate. In Spain, on February 14, red roses are sold out, while in the United States the day is not only for fiancés, but “valentines” are also sent to relatives, sisters or friends, and it starts already in elementary school with cards decorated with cartoon characters and especially comics.
