Julia Roberts works with Renzi to a necklace. Ok, this is not the Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi, but a namesake jeweler, Robin Renzi. The Hollywood star, in fact, decided to support the initiative of charity of his friends, the filmmaker and his wife, Kristen and Gordon Gray. So the actress asked the Me & Ro jewelry designers to produce a necklace, with the aim of raising funds to find a cure for Batten disease. It is a rare and fatal brain disease that affects mostly children between five and ten years. The disease was also diagnosed at the daughters of Gray’s, who promoted the Charlotte Gray & Gwenyth Foundation in memory of them. Robin Renzi of Me & Ro, has therefore created Gray Foundating Double Heart Pendant. “When I was asked to help the Grays in their struggle to raise funds for the foundation of their daughters was so moved by their story that I felt the need to do something,” said Renzi (the jeweler, eh). Necklace limited edition has two interlocking hearts with smaller hearts enclosed in a hexagon. The jewel is available in 18K gold or silver, and 100 percent of the proceeds will fund research against Batten disease.
