Her name is Estelle Dévé, she started designing jewellery in December 2008. And since her first collection she has received the approval of Australia’s most highly rated fashion magazines. Estelle, who has French roots, has a double degree in Business and Marketing, as well as experience in various fashion-related roles. Thanks in part to this, the designer now finds herself among the rising stars of jewellery. Using pewter, cast iron chains, gold, knuckle dusters and Swarovski crystal beads, she is completely self-taught, which allows her to create and discover new techniques, free from the constraints of tradition. She grew up in a small, isolated village in the south of France, with her father and aunt who were designers for their own jewellery brand. Her aunt is now the creative director of the jewellery house Chaumet.
