Cinesi pazzi per i gioielli

In China more jewelry than fashion

In China, jewelry beats fashion. At least, this is what is indicated by the booming consumption that characterized the period marked by the beginning of the Chinese new year, which began on February 10th. The Year of the Snake, in fact, recorded an increase of over 15% in consumption in the week dedicated to the celebrations, a bit like what happens in the West when Christmas approaches. In addition to food, record purchases were recorded for jewelry. In detail, increases in the jewelery and luxury goods sector marked +38.1%, for food +9.8% and in drinks +11.2%. The result in the clothing sector was positive, but less brilliant, with a 6.3% increase in sales.
