If you think that Eastern designers are linked to the traditional style, you must change idea: an example is that of Wendy Yue, which not coincidentally also studied in Vienna. His unique pieces (we’ve talked about here) are visionaries and nothing related to images of dragons and pagodas. She, who now lives and works in Hong Kong, has just finished a new set of rings, a series called Luscious Shrine, and describes his artistic inspiration: “A journey through the ancient pyramids of Cairo, a humble shelter in Buddhist temples sacred of Burma, an exotic expedition green hell of the Amazon…” And so the world is small for Wendy. But it is also a fantasy world, which is transformed into figures of butterflies or flowers with colors sometimes ambiguous, sometimes solid. Everyone, including the latest jewels, don’t have no copies or have very few, and so they have priced accordingly, which fluctuates from 8 thousand to 20 thousand dollars.
