The watches and jewels of the most important in the world are in one place for a few days: Basel. In fact, the usual Baselworld event takes place in the Swiss city, attracting visitors, traders and producers from all over the world. From Bulgari to Cartier, from Van Cleef & Arpels to Buccellati: the big gold, diamond & c brands exhibit their new products. You have already been able to admire some of these new pieces on the pages of Gioiellis.com, which presented them in preview. But, of course, the complete collections and, above all, the live effect can only be obtained with a visit to the brand new (opened in February 2013) exhibition pavilion. In addition to the classics, however, visitors who are passionate about fashion will be able to see up close the new trends that link jewelery design to the world of fashion and accessories or watches. For example, the lines with the GG and Bamboo motifs by Gucci or the B watch by Fendi, which matches the famous Fendi B bag. In many luxury fashion houses such as Hermès, Dior and Chanel the flow of inspiration in terms of design and materials comes from the watch and jewelery collections in a mix that combines the various lines together. While many of the collections reflect the trends and fashion currents of international catwalks, a counter-trend is increasingly frequent. And the use of ceramic, titanium and PVD, as well as the pavé setting of diamonds and the use of colored stones have considerably influenced fashion and design trends.
