Designed by the Singapore-based advertising agency JWT on behalf of Aware (Association of Women for Action and Research), Guardian Angel is a necklace designed to help women feel less vulnerable. In fact, a light press on the hidden button automatically activates a call to your cell phone: having to answer the phone is a convenient excuse to avoid a boring conversation or avoid unwanted approaches at the bar or bus stop. If the situation goes from annoying to dangerous, a long press sends a request for help with GPS coordinates. Of course, the device does not prevent an attack if the family member or friend you are connected to does not see the message, so it would make more sense to connect it to the police. But unlike pepper spray, it is always at hand and is easier to use. The pendant, made of sterling silver, costs 120 dollars and includes a silver chain and can also be worn as a bracelet.
