Gli Ori di Venezia

Gli Ori di Venezia in Nevada

The technique is ancient and yet it is always very current when a contemporary style is applied to traditional workmanship. As in the new collections of Gli Ori di Venezia presented at the JCK Show in Las Vegas: a mix of transparent and shiny glass beads combined with those of acid-etched glass with a matte effect, and available in all shades of pastel colors. Here, weaves and geometric shapes act as a counterpoint to a lighter decoration, different from the typical gold leaf bead, an icon of Murano production. If this is the new trend, it must be said that the Murrina as a pendant is coming back into fashion and is one of the best-selling items by the Venetian company together with the glass charms of the Valentina beads line. A classic are the pieces of the Spring-Summer collection of the Venice Flair line, created for Duty Free, which represent the different execution techniques: from alabaster-colored glass with brown aventurine powder, to silver leaf, to transparent glass with glass powder (pestaccio).
