Just a few more days until the big Christie’s auction, where the largest color-perfect diamond, weighing 101.73 carats, will be sold on May 15th. As already mentioned, it is the most precious pear-shaped diamond: the auction house expects to reach 30 million dollars. But it will not be the only attraction of what promises to be one of the most brilliant auctions (it must be said). Also up for sale will be the Star of Kashmir, a sapphire and diamond ring (26.24 carats), and a natural cushion-shaped emerald ring (23.28 carats). The Star of Kashmir is expected to fetch between 2 million 500 thousand and 3 million dollars, while the emerald ring is valued between 1.3 and 1.8 million dollars. Other attractions of the event: a Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet valued between $160,000 and $260,000. Again: a pair of dangling diamond earrings, weighing approximately 8.16 and 6.90 carats, their last owner was Princess Beatrice (1909-2002), who had married the fifth prince of Civitella-Cesi, Don Alessandro Torlonia, in Rome. The earrings are valued between 160 thousand and 260 thousand dollars.
