Anello firmato Misis

Misis from Vicenza to Tokyo

Hello Italy, let’s go abroad: Misis, a company from the Vicenza jewelery district, is growing despite the crisis (+30%). But above all thanks to the decision to focus on cross-border markets, primarily Russia, China and Japan. The company has also chosen its own stylistic path, with silver jewelery inspired by fashion, with an exclusive design and complex manufacturing techniques. A few years ago, the leadership of the company passed into the hands of the second generation, the brothers Alberto and Claudia Piaserico. Alberto, a thirty-three-year-old former Bocconi student, is the general director. Claudia, on the other hand, is a lawyer, but with strong artistic skills: she deals with communications. «In 2012 we consolidated the 4 million euros of 2011. A great result for our company considering the current economic contraction and the effort we are making to make our way into other markets», is the comment of Alberto Piaserico. «Not one employee on the move, no exposure to banks. Fifteen internal collaborators and a widespread network of factories and artisan workshops distributed throughout the Vicenza area who work for us to allow us to continue to guarantee a technically excellent and completely made in Italy product.” Misis entrusts the marketing of the brand in Italy to three single-brand stores and 15 agents, to as many agents in Europe and to some consolidated distributors in Asia, Eastern Europe and America. The business generated in the former Soviet Union is particularly significant. Having started in 2011, distribution in Russia has recorded a boom in sales exceeding expectations through the presence of shop in shops in important department stores located throughout the country. The feedback from the Chinese market, approached in 2012, is also encouraging. Growth on foreign markets marks +20% in 2011, +30% in 2012 and Misis aims for +50% in 2013 with its entry onto the Japanese market.
