All traces of it had been lost since 2002 when it was put up for sale on eBay, without finding buyers willing to pay at an auction starting price of 15 million dollars.The gem, named Incomparable, was found in Congo in 1980, weighs 407.48 carats and is the third largest faceted diamond in the world and the first in the fancy natural yellow diamond category. Now the gem has reappeared at the tenth edition of the Doha International Jewelery Fair. The pendant setting on a spectacular necklace of 91 diamonds of different cuts intertwined with rose gold for a total of 635.4 carats, is the work of the famous jewelers Mouawad, a private multinational jewelery company, based in Geneva with offices around the world.
