Bulgarians chasing Bulgarians

Bulgari buys Bulgari. The Roman maison, which passed a couple of years ago under the Parisian mantle of Bernard Arnault, owner of LVMH, has decided to focus on its history. The glories of the Sixties and Seventies, when the Bulgari store in Rome was the favorite destination of Elizabeth Taylor or Gina Lollobrigida, have in fact proven to be a formidable asset for marketing. So much so that the various exhibitions of historical jewels signed by the Italian jeweler are now on a constant tour around the world, from Paris to Texas.

The idea, in the rooms of LVMH, is therefore to expand these initiatives. But other jewels are needed in addition to those already exposed. This consideration is the basis of an announcement published on the pages of the business newspaper «il Sole 24Ore», published in recent days: «In anticipation of future retrospectives on the art and history of Bulgari scheduled throughout the world, we are looking for examples of high jewelery prior to 1990 destined to permanently enter our historical collection”. The announcement also reports a period during which hunting is open: from 4 to 30 November. And an email address: retrospettivebulgari@bulgari.com.
