Influences, who are we now? It is the title of the contemporary jewelery exhibition at the Contemporary gallery in Livorno ♦ ︎
Inaugurated in March, during the week of contemporary Schmuck jewelery in Munich, an exhibition in Livorno will present the works of 12 international designers: Claudia Steiner (Austria), Corrado De Meo (Livorno, Italy), Elin Flognman (Sweden), Gabi Veit (Italy), Gigi Mariani (Italy), Judy Mc Caig (England), Lluis Comin (Catalonia), Maria Rosa Franzin (Italy), Nicola Heideman (Germany), Patrizia Bonati (Italy), Stefano Rossi (Italy) and designer couple Pietro Pellitteri and Yoko Takirai (Italy / Japan).
The international exhibition of contemporary jewels (from 5 May until 1 June) is titled Influences, Who are we now? and is set up at the Contemporary gallery in Livorno (via Goldoni 52).
The exhibition presents 40 jewels. “The city, the environment and the surrounding landscape in which we live inevitably influence our actions and our being”, explains curator Claudia Steiner. “The work of the artist who lives and works in the city can be influenced consciously or unconsciously. Inspirations and ideas are reinterpreted through the election of shapes, colors, materials and techniques chosen. And the work of the participating artists, each coming from geographically and scenographically different cities, reflects these variable conditions ».
After the Leghorn stage the exhibition will continue in Florence, in June, at the gallery (Via Giano della Bella, 20/1). The first of October will move to Barcelona at 66 Mistrall and finally, in October will return to Italy, in Padua, to Maricke, where it will end its exhibition cycle.
