It’s called Maison 203 and rides the 3D wave. That is, the design created with the newest printers capable of creating objects. The small company offers designer objects but, now, also a jewelery collection called MYBF (which stands for My Best Friend) designed by Giorgio Biscaro and Odoardo Fioravanti. The pieces are made of nylon and metal: they make a discreet scene thanks to a rather refined design, despite the materials being poor. The idea is to reproduce the shapes of traditional precious stones, but also of architecture and fruits. Biscaro, for example, designed Pineapple, earrings that recall the spiral of the pineapple typical of the island of Tahiti, and Coquelicot clips that are inspired by the poppy flower. Fioravanti, on the other hand, designed Bern, a ring for men which, curiously, alludes to the map of the Swiss city of Bern. Also by Fioravanti is Sydney, a ring that harks back to the famous Opera House of the Australian city. The Fioravanti-Biscaro collection will debut at Maison&Objet, an event in Paris scheduled from 6 to 10 September 2013, before moving to the London Design Festival (14 to 22 September, Do Shop space in Covent Garden).
