Take a tooth that is 55 million years old, add a silver decoration: here is one of the pendants created by Chiara Passoni Gonzalez. The Italian designer was born and raised in Milan. But her jewels, Chiara’s Follies, breathe an international air: it is not strange considering that she has lived the last 15 years between the Egyptian Red Sea and the Swiss Alps. Chiara’s jewels often use natural materials. Aside from the teeth of megalodon, an extinct species of prehistoric shark of gigantic dimensions, the designer uses rare woods, precious and original stones, a mammoth tusk, other fossils and ancient Chinese pearls, jade. Her collections are also unusual: African Queen, Hallucinogen, Galuchat, Jurassic, Gambling, Paribanù. Here are some examples of her work.
