The idea is extravagant, but has seen at work also the London-based company Bompas & Parr, that made food molds to make edible decorations in the shape of buildings and other architectural structures. The company has collaborated with the jewelry brand GoldieRox to achieve the first bioluminescent pendent. To obtain the pendant was used algae pyrocystis, known as “living light”, combined with solid gold and silver. The pendant has the form of a glass sphere and can be tied to a necklace: emits a phosphorescent glow when it is agitated in the dark. The pendant is part of the new collection of Goldie Rox, called Mermaid’s Lunchbox. Apart from the pendant with luminescent algae (costs 2000 pounds), the collection is centered on the underwater world, including sea urchins, shrimp, clams and crab solid gold or silver. Prices from 150 to 1175 pounds. GoldieRox is Roxanne Rajcoomar brand, a designer who has decided to combine the world of jewelry with that of the kitchen. He has worked for De Beers, she graduated from Gia, but without losing the interest in food (with a penchant for cheeseburgers, to which he dedicated a collection). The result was founding his brand of jewelery, combining the best of his two passions. Lavinia Andorno
