An online auction of edgy contemporary design jewelry is the one organized by Christie’s for February 5th (click here). And it is really a special sale with its seven pieces created especially by jewelers selected by Dalia Oberlander, founder of the jewelry site Latest Revival. There is diamond ring with a black fragment of fossilized by Monique Péan, thirty-two New York designer jewelery designer inspired by indigenous cultures; the chandelier earrings with diamonds grays and blacks by Deborah Pagani, who claims to draw classic but sexy jewelry for modern women. And, yet, there are necklaces, earrings and rings by Maiyet, Pamela Love, Completedworks and Fernando Jorge, all of Anglo-Saxon culture except Jorge, a Brazilian who moved to London. Each piece comes with a sketch signed by the designer. The idea is to offer limited edition jewelry closer to the taste of customers who prefer the mouse to the ancient scoop. A curiosity: Dalia Oberlander before becoming a Web entrepreneur, has studied and worked at Sotheby’s. Matilde de Bounvilles
