Jewelery from the Chopard Red Carpet collection strut the Cannes Film Festival ♦
This year the gold palm as award to the winner of the seventeenth Cannes Film Festival is always in gold, but with 167 diamonds set in the leaves. A prize-jewel that, as always for 20 years, was made by Chopard. And, as always, the Swiss Maison led by co-chair and creative director Caroline Scheufele, chooses the film competition as a stage for some of her best pieces. The Red Carpet collection is designed to be worn by stars and perfectly matches the occasion.
Since the Festival is 70 years old, Chopard has designed so many jewelries of great impact. Earrings and bracelets, rings and necklaces are made of precious stones in a variety of colors and shapes. Titanium, durable and lightweight, has been chosen to make some pieces to wear more easy. The jewels have as thread line arabesques and brocades. A bracelet, for example, was designed for tourmalines Paraïba, blue and pink sapphires, amethyst, tsavorite, tanzanite, apatite and diamonds, all over over 56 carats. For a pair of chandelier earrings with pear-shaped diamonds and rubies for 40 carats, instead, white gold was chosen. There is also an identical version withe the same shape, but with emeralds.
