A Bulgari snake watch set a record at Christie’s auction in London. The jewel-watch was sold for 812 thousand euros (1.1 million dollars). The bracelet, in the shape of a snake with gold, diamonds and enamel from the mid-sixties, the roaring period of the Roman fashion house. The jewel that marks time reached more than double its pre-sale estimate. Another Bulgari bracelet, with an 18.27-carat fancy brown-yellow diamond, reached 473 thousand euros (645 thousand dollars). And a ring with a 5-carat pear-cut diamond was auctioned for 267 thousand euros (365 thousand dollars).
