If you pass through Miami, the new art capital together with Basel, here is a unique opportunity: the exhibition “From Picasso to Koons: the artist as jeweller”, open to the public from 15 March to 21 July. The exhibition features over 200 works of art, but interpreted as wearable jewels created by 135 artists, including Roy Lichtenstein, Man Ray, Claude Lalanne, Yoko Ono and Louise Bourgeois as well as, of course, Picasso and Koons. Many of the works on display come from the private collection of the exhibition curator, Diana Venet. «I am careful to ask only those artists who I believe find the idea challenging and fun to create jewelry. Jewelery must be seen as an extension of their art making”, explains Diana Venet. The address of the Bass Museum of Art is: 2100 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. For tickets or information, visit or call 305-673-7530 www.bassmusuem.org.
