The jewelry at Super? A triumph of crabs, spiders, moths, fireflies, owls, leaves and minerals. Or how I interpret nature in my own way. There are those who instead take up the family tradition to work brass and silver with the techniques of fine jewelry, like Ileana Corti, who runs her parents’ goldsmith business, Santagostino di Valenza, but together with Matteo Mena she has created her own brand, Vernissage, which focuses on fashion jewelry with the taste of the entomologist: moths and fireflies mounted on metals with four types of burnishing, diamonds and colorful enamels that seem to have come out of a museum display case but on you they are an explosion of light. And, again, pins and necklaces like rosaries whose central element are small and large owls made with buttons of all types and eras. The name? Tuttigufi. The leaves that decorate the necklaces and headbands (another trend that continues that of hair jewelry) by Caterina Mariani are in purple fuchsia velvet and pink or green enamel.
