Martin Margiela is a Belgian designer considered a prophet of the avant-garde of fashion. He now tries his hand at jewelery combined with Swarovski. The result is the jewelry collection that uses crystalactite, a material that fuses crystal and opaque white resin. The jewels will be co-branded. The bijoux, presented in Paris, will arrive in stores in November. Even if no precious stones are used, the upfront prices seem designed to discourage the general public: around a thousand euros for a bracelet and 800 for a pendant, according to Nadja Swarovski. Although for Christmas three pieces from the collection will be on sale at half price. The jewelery will be found in the 130 Atelier Swarovski stores, as well as in some Martin Margiela stores.
