Images of the Swarovski Spring-Summer 2014-2015 collections. As in art, the same goes for jewelry: it’s all about light. More precisely, its facets, Swarovski knows this well, having named the SS 2014-15 collection Facets of light. The inspiration? Artists like James Turrell, Dan Flavin and Jeff Koons, who use LEDs, holograms and new materials capable of absorbing or reflecting light, for their works. And so, here are metal parts combined with crystals to accentuate the sparkle in movement, or intense and bright colors, from fuchsia to petrol blue to emerald green that enhance the beauty of the crystals. And finally black, for a more rock character. Presented during Sydney Fashion Week, the runway featured collars worn like Aztec armor paired with light bracelets, delicate pendants hanging from thin chains layered over one another, a bit like dresses, crystal-encrusted bands, and chains worn around the waist. In short, a contemporary jewel for a woman who wants a feminine and bold accessory to wear both day and night, according to Nathalie Colin, creative director of Swarovski.
