The new line of jewelry by Diane von Furstenberg will be in stores in February, just in time for Valentine’s Day 2015: “I’ve been designing fine jewelry since 2004, but a lot of people ask me for $300 necklaces, so I’ll give people what they want,” says the Belgian but American-by-adoption designer, who became famous with her wrap dress, the jersey dress to wear to work and in the evening. A clothing icon who is turning 40 and still feels it. The collaboration for H. Stern, the high-end Brazilian jeweler, with the DvF brand will continue, but the goal with this new line is to make objects that correspond to her luxury jewelry accessible. So there will be $300 and $38,000 necklaces in a similar style, to attract new customers and give consumers different choices. The style will be that of the clothing: from the chain prints of the dresses to the mesh chains of the bracelets, with gold as the main material, but also embossed leather and in bright colors such as turquoise, coral and shocking pink.
