The French brand Incarnem creates jewelry that covers body parts such as the knuckles, nose, and fingers.
Jewelry that adapts to the body? Not enough. Incarnem Paris offers something more: jewelry that becomes a second skin, an integral part of the body. The idea comes from Marine Billet, a designer with a background in architecture who turned to jewelry in 2015. She began as an independent model maker, collaborating with several major Parisian fashion houses, including Schiaparelli, for which she created the legendary lung jewelry worn by Bella Hadid at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
She founded Incarnem in 2023, developing an approach to jewelry that sits at the intersection of memory, imprints, and technique. Marine Billet’s favorite technique is modeling, which she uses to capture fragments of reality and set them in metal. Halfway between a cast and a sculpture, the jewelry is conceived as a second skin. For example, the “finger” rings are custom-made, cast from the buyer’s fingertips, and sold as a single piece or two pieces that can be worn together or separately. They are available in gold-plated bronze or solid silver. The process begins with an online order. You then receive a kit for creating silicone molds and a tutorial for modeling the desired body part. It’s a quick and easy process. In short, they are jewelry for incarnation, as the name Incarnem suggests.
